MY SOUTH INDIA TOUR


ON 7th january 2008 we begin our tour from shillong we were total three me and my parents.First we went guwahati and from guwahati we went in flight upto chennai so we reached same day at chennai.On 8th we hired a indica for local sight seeing and we have seen marina beach,temple,church,mueseaum and snake park.And On same day itself we started for Pondicherry and we reached Pondicherry at 7:30 pm then we directly went to hotel then after refreshment we again went out to see markets at Pondicherry and then after dinner we return back to our hotel.On 9th of January at 6 am we went out to see seabeach and Aurobindo Ashram and then after having the breakfast we hired a taxi and went to Auroville which is 14km away from Pondicherry in Auroville in where we have seen MatriMandir which is built of 46kg of gold then we returned back to town and went for Pondy local sight seeing where we have seen Antique Museaum,Library and Childrens park.On sameday itself at 5:00 pm we returned back to Chennai and reached eggmore at 9:10pm then we booked three seats in SSK Tours and Travels for the tour of Madurai,Kodaikanal,Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari in which tour provider will provide us accommodation and on same day at 10:00pm we started our journey for Madurai and reached there on 10th January at 6:30am then we directly went to the hotel.At 8:30 am after refreshment we went to Meenakshi Temple which was truly beautifull after Meenakshi Temple we set out for Madurai local sight seeing where we have seen Raja’s Place,Chotta Tripathi Temple and Shiv temple in middle of a pond.On 11th of January at 7:30am we started for Kodaikanal in where we have seen a lovely waterfall near kodai,Lake,Kodai market in where we have done shopping and the beautifull scenary and hills of kodaikanal and its climate remind me of Shillong and after Kodai sight seeing we returned back to Madurai.On 12th January at 7:00am we again started our trip for Rameshwaram in where we have seen Ramsetu from bridge,HanumanTemple and floating stone.Before entering the Temple we had taken seabath then after Rameshwaram local sight seeing we returned back to Madurai and on sameday itself we started for our final destination that is Kanyakumari we started from Madurai at 9:30 pm and reached Kanyakumari on13th January at 5:00am then after refreshment in the hotel we set out to see the beautiful sunrise at kanyakumari which was truly wonderfull and after going to Vivekananda Rock Memorial which was nearer from the beach we went there by a boat after then we went for Kanyakumari local sight seeing in where we have seen wax mueseaum-“Why to go London” in this museaum many celebrities had their wax statue like SRK and BIG B and after that we went to Kanyakumari Temple and then we returned to our hotel.and at 1:00pm we started our returning journey for Madurai and then on the sameday at 10:00pm from Madurai we started for Chennai and reached Chennai on 14th January at morning 7 and then we directly wwnt to SriRam holel in Eggmore and we stayed on Chennai upto 17th January and visited TNagar,BurmaBazzar,ChennaiCentral,Gpo,RiponBuilding and shopping malls.On 17th we had our flight for Kolkatta and we reached kolkaata at 8:00pm and then from DumDum we went to Central Avenue hotel penguin.We stayed on Kolkatta upto 21st januaryand we have seen Victoria Memorial,ST Paul Cathedral,Birla Planeterium,Writer’s Building and Science City.on 21st January we had flight for guwahati at 9:30 am and on the sameday itself we returned from where we have startd our jouney “THE SCOTLAND OF EAST”-Shillong.
